Uday who looks as a neighbouring boy is from a typical South
Indian family as he recognizes life’s sunnier side as well
as the sullener side. He was just an average student at school. Since
they were not having a proper financial background, his father like any
other father monished the boy to pay more attention to his studies to
build up a good future for them. He even joined in computer course,
while doing his Intermediate. He never even used to have a vehicle for
him where he always gave way for the public transport. Though Uday was
expected to grow into an engineer, his longing was to become a film
hero, where he ever dared to express his feelings to his father. He
likes singing very much. He used to take part in many cultural activities
during his academic career where he never felt the stage fear and this
quality in him boosted his confidence to become an actor.He used to be
a great movie lover during his childhood and he used to watch lot of
movies and kept himself engrossed in imitating the dance numbers and
fight sequences at home for hours together.He was laughed at by many of
his friends at his dream to become a hero. However, as far as Uday is
concerned his main ambition was to earn name, fame and good financial
status for him and his family. Slowly he managed to get his father’s
consent to enter into films.
When Uday was doing his graduation,
there came a notice from Usha KiranMovies calling for new actors. He
was only 19 years then. With a hope of at least getting a small role in
that film Uday approached UshaKiranMovies on his friends advice. To his surprise he found 400 people who had come for the interview.
Mr.Ramanand was the interviewer. After the screen test and other formalities
Uday was asked to come back. He forgot his studies completely and went
to the Usha Kiran’s place everyday, waited here patiently till he was
singled out after two months. In spite of his disheartening and
friends’ unfavorable comments, he was waiting there even on Dec 31,
until 11pm. The stress and anguish he was experiencing there for the
past two months washed-out in a split second when he was told that he
was given a role in that movie. As he was a strong devotee of Shirdi
Sai Baba he was asked by his mother to go to Shirdi at once. But to his
utter dismay when he came back from Shirdi he was told that he had no
role for him to do in that film. As he was not in a set of mind to
accept the bitter fact he went straightaway to Mr. Ramanand and poured
his heart out. His family and his close friend Hitesh consoled him
greatly. When after a few days Uday didn’t react much to the offer,
which was given to him by the Usha Kiran Movies - the offer was to act
as the hero of the film!! That was how started the young actor’s film
career.
The film that gave Uday both disappointment and great
pleasure and also paved him the way to attain a great career is none
other than the film ‘Chithram’.

- Uday won a 1st prize in Fancy Dress Competition as a Colgate Tooth Paste
- To him every character he played till date is close to his real life...esp. Manasantha Nuvve and the only difference he finds between a real & reel life is BEING ROMANTIC :))
- According to him, Life is a n experience and every minute one gets to learn something new, its gives you goals, it makes you able to do what you do. Over all its his Biggest Teacher.
